Hey Fam!
How is everyone this week?! I hope you can feel the energy and
enthusiasm I have for life through this email. Nothing could be better
than living and breathing and being.
This email might have to be a quick one...the other Elders are waiting
for my basketball skills. (Mom and Grandpa would be proud) hahaha just
kidding
I will get right into it! This week has included a lot of changes. Out
of the people that we were teaching, we dropped 4! One family moved to
Mexico for the next few months. Another is moving/working/taking care
of her kids and has no time to even think about the gospel. Oh and
just to define "dropping" it means we stop teaching them. It is
definitely one of the hardest things about missionary work to drop
people, and it takes a lot of faith. I remember in my first area it
was so difficult to do because I felt like I was denying people the
most spectacular life changing event of their lives. But soon you
learn to have faith in God's plan. Everyone will one day have their
chance to learn about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, and even
though that day may not be today...or tomorrow...I have 100% faith in
a perfect God that loves His children.
So anyways that was fun.
My mother wanted to me to talk about how safe it is here. So I will
start and end by saying, I am safe! Thanks for the concern mom(;
hahahaha jk I honestly feel super protected.
You also wanted to know about what types of food I am eating...when I
asked Elder Hughes what I should say he said, "beans, rice, and
tortillas" and you know what, that is pretty much it. Hahahaha. One
family that we eat with, la familia Linares, is one of my favorite
families ever. I told Alan Linares (22 year old stud return
missionary) that he is going to married to Tate so that we can have
some hispanic in the family. Plus he is stud missionary and likes
Radiohead. He got awkward when I suggested it. But he is heading down
to BYUI in April and could see Brady around maybe. I will try and get
a picture, we go and eat with them Monday nights.
Other than that, this week has been filled with trying to find more
people to teach! It is always exciting. We could use the support of
your prayers in this upcoming week finding the elect!
The day's move by so fast, I am realizing how precious time is every
second! There definitely is no time to lose.
Make the most of every moment this week. Use the time that God has
given you to make a difference.
I love you all!
Con mucho amor,
