Hola Familia,
This week was amazing! We saw some incredible milagros. I wish I had
time to recount all of it to you!
The Lord consecrated our hard work for sure, because our week honestly
started out at a slow pace. Tuesday and Wednesday was filled with a
lot of tracting and contacting. But we just kept knocking and talking.
I actually don't mind the tracting part of missionary work. My
mentality has changed and I get kind of excited every time that I
knock a door waiting to see who is behind it. I get to meet the most
diverse types of people. But teaching is definitely the most
gratifying part of missionary work.
So me and Elder Hughes just spent the week working hard and the Lord
blessed us like crazy.
We had three investigators at church! It was such a crazy miracle. One
of the Investigators was Alfredo, the man I talked about last week,
and he is a stud. Steadily progressing towards baptism! And then out
of the blue an investigator named Sarai and two of her children came
to church! We texted them the night before to see if they would be
able to make it and she replied that she asked specifically to get the
day off of work and was already planning on coming. So that was
incredible. Many of the Hispanics here work so much and so often that
they have a hard time finding time to come to church, it is definitely
one of the most difficult commitments for people to keep. Not only
that but a less active family, Familia Rivas, came to church and
brought another one of their friends that we are going to be teaching!
Honestly I couldn't believe it. It just goes to show that "Sacrifice
brings forth the blessings of Heaven".
I wish I had more time to share other details from my week!
Just know that I love each of you, and you are in my prayers.
I can not thank you enough for your prayers and support! As you can
see, they worked miracles this week. Keep them comin' (;
