¿Cómo han estado familia?
Wow. Monday again? Time is flies way too fast. Alma 34:32- I need MORE
time to preform my labors. There is so much out there to learn and
experience, don't waste a single moment.
For people who are like me: Everyday I sit back and wonder on how much
time I wasted growing up being lazy and neglecting growth! We have
been given a limited amount of time to grow and progress, and I can't
imagine how much farther I could be if I had taken advantage of the
time I have been given. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints provides knowledge and perspective that can not be found
elsewhere. It is as simple as that. I do not pretend to assume the
pretense that I am smart, or that others who have not heard the
message of the Gospel are unintelligent, but I do declare that
NOTHING in this world can provide truth, light, and understanding like
the doctrine of Christ.
So if you think you are learned, learn more.
If you feel content, experiment.
Members and Non-Members, I challenge you to dive head first into the
Gospel of Jesus Christ and see what it has to offer.
D&C 131:6 "It is impossible for a man to be saved in ignorance."
I only say this because of my own lack of knowledge, we can all do
better at taking advantage of the time that we have. So do it.
My subject name today comes from something that a man said on the
street to us that I thought was hilarious. We asked him and his family
if we could give them a card really quickly, and he said "Otro día
jefe" which translates to "another day boss" hahah I cracked up! You
meet some cool people out here.
Hmm I'm trying to think of what else happened this week...ahhh!
Oh one cool things is that we had New Missionary Training on Tuesday!
So me and Elder Marchant went down to Naperville to meet with all the
other trainees and trainers to get taught by President and the
Assistants and stuff. It was super inspirational and motivating,
President Griffen is the most enthusiastic man I've ever met.
Especially when it comes to missionary work. I also saw Sister (DeDe)
Smith from Rexburg! She is being trained and is about to finish her
2nd transfer, but since I spent 6weeks in the MTC we are close to the
same "mission age".
So that was cool. There is also 2 other Elders from Pleasant Grove,
but I can't remember their names right now...
I'm getting my haircut right now, sitting in my kitchen in a towel.
The zone leaders have experience with cutting hair, and what I mean by
that is they bought $20 buzzers from Walmart. I'll have to send you a
picture went they are finished. Cross your fingers! Hahaha
The mission life is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
I hope this email some what makes sense, it's literally impossible to
explain all the little pieces and parts of my week that change my life
for the better. But they happen. This is the work of the Lord, get
involved and be missionaries today!
Love,
Elder Stewart-Chester
