HOLA FAMILIA!
It is funny becuase there are very few times that I am able to speak Spanish to other people, and my weekly email is one of them! Maybe, I should just type in Spanish...quien sabe, a lo mejor alguien lo vaya a entender...quiza no....bueno!
It has been a wonderful week! My prediction was right by the way, this week was more busy than the last. We had transfers suck most of our week away but it was still super fun and we managed to find some really solid investigators.
On wednesday we took the departing missionaries to the temple and then dropped them off at the airport which was intense. How grateful I am to be where I am and not where they are! hahaha don't take that the wrong way...
I said goodbye to Elder Marchant which was strange, we have been through a lot together. And then Elder Riggins and I immediately got to work!
Quickly, I'll share a cool experience from the week. It actually is my title as well, el pastor, or the pastor haha! This week we knocked on the door of a potential named Britney who we had met a few weeks prior and she was home. She is such a nice lady, we talked on the door for a few minutes until she invited us in to her home. As we were walking into the living room she mentioned that her husband was a pastor! Hahaha you can imagine what we were bracing ourselves for. We got to know them and honestly, they are a solid couple, quite young actually for a pastor. He is a youth pastor and studied theology in college. His name is Pete. So we taught Brittney and Pete about our church, (basically the premise of the first dicussion leading towards the Restoration). I wouldn't go as far as saying that Pete was super teachable, but he listened and asked lots of questions about the Trinity and our interpretation of a few different verses in the Bible. All in all we felt the Spirit quite strongly and held our ground on critial points of our doctrine. We are actually going back this Friday to have dinner with them and discuss more! hahaha pray that we will find the words to say to open their hearts. I am pretty excited.
We meet lots of different cultures and backgrounds as missionaries, and it is always incredible to me how much God loves all His children. He really is no respecter of persons and desires all to come unto Him. We also met a family this week from India, and the feelings and impressions are the exact same.
God is loving. He desires our happiness.
I desire your happiness as well! So please, follow Him.
I love you! Have a beautiful week!
