Hola!
I am going to have to be short and sweet this week family! Sorry! I hope that you have all had a beautiful week and enjoyed the Sabbath day yesterday. I look foward to Sunday's so incredibly much. The weather has been warm the past few days which is odd, but we are taking advantage of it with short sleeves.
This week we went around the mission for zone conferences which is always exciting. It is a great opportunity to learn from others and improve as a mission. Our focus in the mission is finding new people to teach! Our entire conference was built around just that, and it has been a huge success. There are lots of amazing people that surround us each day, and we carry a message that will bless their lives!
A great experience that I had this week was actually on exchange this Friday. We went and taught Pete (the pastor) and Brittney (his wife). They made a delicious meal and we then had the opportunity to teach them the complete restoration of the Gospel. The message flowed so perfectly with their questions, and the Spirit helped me remember so many New Testament scriptures in English. (that is a huge benifit becuase most of the time I can only remember them in Spanish). It was interesting to watch them as we answered their questions. They were argumentative and the Spirit was rich in their home as we recited the first vision. At the end of the closing prayer, Brittney looked up and said, "I have one last question. What if we don't end up believing in Joseph Smith or in the Book of Mormon?" There was a slight pause and one million different responses came to my head. My companion suddenly whipped out his tablet and showed his background picture of a temple. He explained, "this is a temple. Have you ever seen one before?" They never had. We then testified of our believe that families can be together forever, and they were completely blown away. We told them that there is still lots to learn about us and we were invited to Pete's bible study get togethers. We are really excited to continue teaching them!
This work is true and I love it!
