Familia!
Como estamos?
It has been a beautiful week over here in the East! No snow, but lots of rain which is strange. It has been really nice the past few days. This week was crazy busy but very satisfying, like most weeks.
We had two exchanges, new missionary training, and mini-transfer council, along with everything else that takes place in our week. However, the best part about going on exchanges is that we get to go out and work hard with the zone leaders. I felt like we got a lot accomplished this week and I am feeling more and more settled in the area. Somehow we are already almost done with January which I am frustrated about. Seriously? Anywho, we won't dwell on that.
A highlight of our week was teaching Grandma Betty and her two grand-daughters Serenity (9) and Mikyra (14). We taught more on the Plan of Salvation and my goodness was it powerful. Whenever the two girls talk about their mother, tears well up and it is easy to see their heartache. There are very few other moments in my life when I have wanted as deeply to help another. That is what I love about a mission. We help create an environment where people can feel God's love and hope. Often times they speak to us about their concerns and worries. And we carry the message that fixes everything. I couldn't feel more passionately about that statement.
On one of our exchanges we did service for some members in our ward. We cleaned out some super filthly gutters which ended up being lots of fun. It is great to be with missionaries and go to work.
Yikes, everything seems like a blurr. Hopefully I am better at writing in my journal than I am about writing home...
The highlight of my week is usually spending time with the Griffins. This week we counseled about the mission and the upcoming transfer. I already know who my new companion is haha! (but that is a secret).
I know that what I am engaged in is a true and eternal work. I know that the principles and ordinances taught by the Savior Jesus Christ are very real, because I have applied them in my life and seen the results. It works. It brings true happiness. I know that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is omnipotent. He is also the Father our our spirits, and like any father, cares about the success of His children. Trust in God and hold nothing back.
I love you all! Have a fantastic week!
