Hola Chicos!
¿Como han estado todos?
This week has been wonderful as per usual. continually hitting par
here in the mission field and continually feeling beyond blessed to
serve.
This week me and Elder Hughes definitely grew a lot! As individuals
and as a companionship. I am super grateful to serve with this guy!
This week I done have very much time to write, so I will just give a
quick update:
Our teaching pool has really hit a few bumps this past week, but the
great thing about experience like this is that my testimony of
personal revelation has sky rocketed. For those who don't know, as
missionaries we pray many, many times a day. We turn to our knees as
often as possible to get answers to the questions we have and plead
for the blessings we need. We get answers.
Before I get accused of over-exaggeration, let me quote this:
Mormon 9:21
Behold, I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting
nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ it
shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends
of the earth.
I testify that answers and help come to those who ask, having faith in
the Son of God.
This Sunday was fantastic. Easter Sunday. Although there was no
candied eggs involved in my Easter, I can't say that I have ever had
such a fantastic holiday.
I got called this Friday night to speak in church during sacrament
meeting haha so I only had about two days to think about what I wanted
to say. Which as missionaries in the Spanish program you kinda get
used to it hahaha we talk a lot. The only problem is that my topic was
the Atonement, or the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I have to say, I did
not want to speak. I knew that there was no way that I could ever sum
up the feelings I have for my Savior in a 10 minute talk...
So once again, that is where my knees came into play. I prayed and
prayed. Especially because Easter Sunday in the Hispanic program is
generally know as a day where all the less actives who never come show
up hahaha and it was packed!
I ended up using mostly just scriptures to describe my feelings.
Isaiah in the Old Testament, Mark in the New, and 3 Nephi in the Book
of Mormon. It was the most spiritual experience I have ever had while
speaking in church. It was amazing only because the Spirit helped me
out so much! Spanish felt as if it was my first language, and I just
smiled for having the opportunity to testify of my Savior during that
special Sunday.
I know that He conquered death, and rose again on the 3rd day!
I know that He lives!
I encourage you all to turn to Him this week,
Con mucho amor,
