Que tal? Como andamos, pues?
It has been a glorious week my friends. I couldn't describe to you specifically why it has been, but it just always is. I would asume by this point that some of you have become tired of me always talking about how great the week goes by...but the best that I can respond to that is, go on a mission!
This week Elder Tedders and I reunited! It has been a super fun experience being companions with him again. He came from my old area in Arlington Heights where we both served together, so it was fun to catch up on some old memories and hear about members and investigators from over there. Elder Tedders is very much the same man that I served with 3 months ago hahaha! He is super organised though and I love it. It is weird how you appreciate the small things in a companionship. (ps. Elder Osito means "little bear". half of the members call Elder Tedders that)
This week was super busy because we had transfers, and mission leadership council. However, our ward did a really fun activity this Saturday and Sunday:
We have been planning it since the beginning of the month, but its called Domingo de Invitaciones or basically Invitation Sunday. We planned to have a special sacrament meeting for people who wanted to come visit our church and see what it is like. We made flyers and everything. This Saturday, each of the companionships in our ward, (there are three), went and handed out a million flyers to people. In our area we chose a super busy hispanic grocery story and met tons of new people. More than anything, it was just a really good way to become more known through the community. We talked to some pretty incredible people.
The services on Sunday were wonderful and there were many new faces that showed up! It was one of my favorite sacrament meetings of my whole mission and I think it was due to all of the effort that we put into it. Everyone actually sang the hymns and payed attention to the speakers (hahaha sometimes it can be difficult to have full participation) and it made a difference in the Spirit that we felt.
Never take for granted the blessings that we have to be able to attend church every week. The more time and energy that we put into our services each week, the more the Lord will bless and teach us. I know that to be true!
I am happy and healthy!
I am in love with this work,
I appreciate all of your love and support,
con mucho amor,
