FAMILIA!
Hello Hello!
I hope all is going well and everyone is safe and warm. Some members were telling us that everywhere in the west is getting so much snow! I am super jealous, almost all of our snow has melted, but it is still in the negatives...it is a little bit strange becuase you look outside and everything seems fine, and then you actually step outside and the wind goes right through your thermals, sweater, and winter coat. Frigid! But also alot of fun!
This week has been really busy and wonderful, like most weeks! (I think if we total the adjectives that I have used to describe my weeks in the mission field it would equal about 4) We drove like 500 miles (rough estimate) within 4 days going to all of the zone conferences around the mission. We started with Joliet, then to Peoria, and finished this week in Rockford. All of which are stakes that I have never served in. So it was excited to see all of the mission and lots of familiar faces. This week, tuesday and wednesday, we will finish up the conferences by going to Naperville and then Shaumburg! The two stakes that I have ever served in.
One really cool experience we had this week was a woman named Grandma Betty. She is a friend of one of our members and we went over to help her install some blinds. She has two grand-daughters that live with her whose mother passed away a few years ago. We taught them about 3 simple questions; Where did I come from? Why am I here? and Where am I going? Three simple, yet profound questions, all of which can be answered with our knowledge of the Plan of Salvation. God's plan for His children. It was amazing to see their faces light up as they heard these eternal truths. Grandma Betty loves the bible, so we taught from a few verse in Jeremiah. She was thrilled haha!
I love this work! It is wonderful to see change take place in people's lives. No matter where they are, or how unchangeable they think they might be. As Grandma Betty would say, "God is good!" and He will always help us to make important decisions to feel more happiness in life. So when they come, don't let them pass by! Take them for what they are, a blessing to change!
I love you all! I pray for your progression in all things,
cuidense mucho!

We went to lunch with a woman that has been investigating the church for 10 years! (she is basically a member) She is from Hong Kong and took us to each some traditional food. Yummy right?
