¡Hola familia!
How is everyone? (:
Ahahaha if only you could all see me type my emails. The majority of my time is spent right here...thinking about what I should even write about! It's silly, but you would be surprised how hard it is to condense a whole week of missionary work into one email. Ask me questions! It is easier to respond that way.
This week was wonderful, there isn't really another word for it. I say it every week and I will continue to say it. Simply wonderful.
Some Funny Stories:
First, my subject title "My Cocina" is the name of a restaurant I saw the other day. I thought it was hilarious and is a good example of how Hispanic the area that I'm living in is. "My Cocina" or "My Kitchen" : one English word and one Spanish hahaha Spanglish. A large percent of all the stores here are entirely Spanish-most of the food and advertisements are in Spanish.
Another funny story is that I had menudo for the first time yesterday! Honestly, I never thought I would ever have a problem eating any food on my mission. Turns out, I don't particularly love menudo. Menudo is pig or cow intestines thrown into a big pot of soup. The taste isn't bad at all, it's just the texture that gets me. You can see the "hair", or whatever it's called, all over it and it feels like you are literally chewing on blubbery fat. Luckily the tortillas always come to the rescue, I would just shove a big piece of tortilla in my mouth and chew and smile (: (Because the sweet Hermana always watches every move you make while eating, and is hoping that you love it) Also, if you don't eat seconds and thirds they usually get a little upset ahaha! I was surprised because it was the first thing I have tried that I didn't love. Tacos de Lengua is one of my favorite foods! (Cow tongue tacos) I don't know...I think it was just the texture of menudo that got me hahah!
Haha but now on to things that are more important: Missionary Work!
Literally, this the coolest experience I have ever been privileged to participate in. The mission has opened my eyes to so many different things, but one thing in particular is undeniable:
The fact that my Heavenly Father knows me perfectly.
I know I talked a little bit about this last week, but I wanted to highlight the incredulity of the fact that The Supreme Creator of the universe knows and loves each one of us. The Omnipotent/Omniscient/Omnipresent Father of All Things literally worries and cares about your wellbeing. How wonderfully absurd hahah!
Mathew 10: "29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father [knowing]. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear ye not therefore... "
I don't take that information lightly. And I most definitely don't declare that knowledge carelessly.
The fact that I can look someone square in the face, regardless of who they are or how they appear, and testify that they have a Father in Heaven that smiles when they smile, laughs when they laugh, and cries when they cry, is something powerfully close to my heart. He loves us. I know it because I've seen it.
If you want to find out why or how I believe this....good. I would too if I were you.
This is the most valuable piece of knowledge we can and ever will discover in our lives.
So if you want to know why, how, what, when, or who, email me. Or get in contact with missionaries like me. Or talk to my family. Whichever! Just give it a chance and it will change your life.
And if you are a member of our church: Do all that you can to help people who are searching for this knowledge to find it!
Elder Bruce R. McConkie said that the single greatest thing about our church, more than any piece of doctrine or gospel principle, is the fact that it is TRUE.
We are united in a true cause, so do your part and get to work!
I love you all!

P.s Thank you so much Price family for the letter! I was surprised when the return address was to Wrexham, North Wales and wondered who it could be hahaha! You are far to kind thank you!
And the other people that said they sent me letters, I think our mail man was struggling or something because I haven't gotten any of your letters, but it's fixed now I should be getting them all soon! Thank you for all of your love and support, it really means the world to me!
